Parents first priority should be to ensure your student(s) complete assignments from your teachers. The following resources are provided as supplemental activities should you need additional materials to engage your student.

 Get Georgia Reading at Home - myON Digital Books  All Ages Unlimited, free access to more than 6,400 digital books will be provided until school closures end. Students can read online using any internet-enabled device or offline with these free mobile apps. Instructions to access pasted below and in flyer attached. To get started:

Go to www.myon.com/login/index.html and enter:

School Name: Get Georgia Reading (Type the first few letters and select “Get Georgia Reading” from the drop-down menu.)

 Cox Campus  Infant - Kindergarten Offers free, online courses for early childhood educators, families, leaders and community members.
 eRead Kids PreK - 4th grade  This free collection of ebooks and audio books is for kids in preK to fourth grade. It’s a mix of fiction and non-fiction titles that can be downloaded onto computers, tablets and smartphones. All you need is your library card number and PIN.
 Mystery Science  Kindergarten - 5th Grade  All of these science lessons are expertly designed to engage students, achieve learning outcomes, and be easy for teachers to use. We have short mini-lessons that are completely digital and full lessons that include an activity. All of the activities are designed to use simple supplies a parent will likely already have at home.
 Rivet 1st Grade - 8th Grade  Rivet is a new reading app with over 3,500 free leveled books designed for children who are learning to read.
* This site requires a Google Account; parents should sign up and allow students to read from their device.
 Scholastic Learn At Home  PreK - 6th Grade Even when schools are closed, you can keep the learning going with these special cross-curricular journeys. Every day includes four separate learning experiences, each built around a thrilling, meaningful story or video. Kids can do them on their own, with their families, or with their teachers. Just find your grade level and let the learning begin!
 Sightwords  PreK - K The Georgia Preschool Association sponsors free resources to help teach your child to read.
 Vroom  Birth - Kindergarten Boost learning from birth – 5! Available for iOS and android phones, this app is
filled with fun and simple learning activities for mealtime, bathtime, bedtime, or anytime.
 Words2Reading  Birth to 3rd Grade Words2Reading brings families and teachers the best resources in developing early language skills and reading readiness from birth – 8. Includes easy-to-follow videos, web links, downloadable documents, e-books, and audio clips all available online.
Common Sense Media's Resources for Families During the Coronavirus Pandemic  PreK - 12th Grade As the coronavirus continues to spread, schools, libraries, and museums are closing, and everyone is encouraged to stay close to home. If there is a COVID-19 outbreak in your area and you are taking precautions to keep your family safe and prepared, these tips and resources can help keep kids entertained, engaged, and learning while they’re stuck inside.
 Hall County Library System Digital Resources for Youth PreK - 12th Grade   Hall County Library System is now able to offer temporary library cards to your students. These cards currently have a two month expiration date which we will extend if the COVID-19 situation lasts beyond that time. To get a library card, all parents need to do is call us at 770-532-3311, Monday through Friday, 9:00-5:00, and we will issue them a temporary library card number and pin over the phone.
 Livestream Programs by the Northeast Georgia History Center PreK - 12th Grade  To provide educational programming during school closings, the Northeast Georgia History Center has scheduled livestream programs on YouTube for students and the general public to enjoy from home. Below is a schedule of our upcoming events. More events will be added as needed. If there is a specific topic you would like us to present, please email your request to historycenter@brenau.edu.
GPB's Georgia Home Classroom  PreK - 12th Grade  As part of the public media mission to ensure all kids have access to continued free educational resources at home, GPB, in partnership with Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), is offering broadcast programming and accompanying digital resources that adhere to Georgia’s state standards to provide continued at-home learning.

Students in Pre-K through 12th grade can now access free, educational PBS daytime programming designated for each grade level weekdays on GPB-TV. The broadcast schedule will include trusted, educational programming. Additional GPB and PBS programs are also available to stream on gpb.org or the free PBS Video App and PBS KIDS Apps.

In addition to the broadcast schedule, Georgia students and educators can also access an online library of free educational resources from GPB Education, PBS LearningMedia, and Discovery Education, including videos, activities, and associated lesson plans for teachers, that align with Georgia standards. Pre-K through 5th grade resources are now available and we will be adding 6-12 resources in the coming days.
